During these wintry months, I like to stay-in—away from the ice, snow, sleet, frigid temperatures, holiday shoppers and bad drivers—to knock-down and blow-up things … on my PS2, that is! Here’s an end-of-year list of my favorite video game moments-of-zen:
Hmmn, Yahoo just added del.icio.us to its acquisitions, which includes Flickr and Upcoming, among others. Google holds Blogger, Earth, Picasa and (so much) more. “Begun the (Social Software) Clone Wars has?”
I find those self-playing song files on most myspace.com pages to be annoying as hell — yet another reason I consider it the vast middle school of the internets. “Dood, this song iss SO [crunk/sick/sweet/dope/whack/smooth/hawt] Ima gonna MAKE ya listen ta it! Wha?” Nevermind I’m—like most visitors—already listening to something. Newbie homepage design tip: Just because you can do something, doesn’t mean you should; think about the user. “Wha?” Alternate, make-lemonade-out-of-lemons tip for the rest of us: open several myspace homepages across multiple browser tabs for your own poorman’s megamix! ROTFLOL!
