After previewing innumerable recent indie album releases, I have come to a conclusion: pop emo does NOT rock. Please cease and desist all pop emo rocking forthwith. Seriously, they all sound the same: whiny vocals, wall-of-sound guitars playing the same few power chords, super-over-compressed mixing and so on. Not sure what you’re going to use for your teen movie trailers and celebreality show backing soundtracks? Sorry.
