Here is a recent sketch in Processing, my take on cubism and a variation on another sketch from almost two years ago: View sketch_rand_cubes_2009_01

Here is another recent sketch in Processing. This screen version is the basis for a short run print and painting series I’m working on. View sketch_june09_comp_Screen1.
Here’s another recent sketch in Processing. This one has decidedly more visual complexity, with additional shapes and some white hatch lines for erosion. FWIW, I think it looks better at 1280×960 resolution. View sketch_april28_comp_Screen1.
I have been creating some new sketches in Processing. This sketch combines basic lines, bezier curves and triangles in a number of different ways. It’s still procedural code (running in a linear loop, as oppossed to object oriented, which I haven’t had time to explore), so I slowed down the frameRate() [...]
I had some time recently to mess about in Processing. For your consideration: sketch_2008_04_28_diagonal_lines2. Stare at it for a while and everything starts to make sense.
Update: I posted a few shorts to Vimeo: diagonal_lines2 / diagonal_lines3.
I’ve always enjoyed these patterns, so I decided to generate them. Someday I’ll be savvy enough to make it interactive. For your consideration: sketch_2007_12_11a
For your consideration: rand_cubes01b. This uses OpenGL to render, so edges are jagged. Let it go for a while to get some dense layering. Click the mouse to clear the screen and press a key to stop. Also on Vimeo.
For more interesting results, let this one go a while: sketch_2007_09_24_01 for your consideration. More on Flickr.
